"Why I chose fashion photography? Because it's an area where I sank without my will. Usually, you pick an area in which you feel most comfortable. I liked to photograph people since I was little. It's interesting to feel how people see themselves when you work with them and photograph them. After a while, I started to create stories to pull out character traits. It did help a lot in fashion."
Born in Bacau, Romania. Eduard Mariut first picked up a camera at the early age of fourteen - influenced by photojournalism. Eduard attended the Bucharest University of Arts, with a specialization in Photography. Having started his career in the press, after graduating from college, he naturally felt the transition to fashion photography.
Now, his work has been featured in international publications and media and he has been fortunate to work with some great people on some great assignments. His work was also exhibited in galleries and won numerous awards over time.
Eduard Mariut is also the founder of EDMA Productions. Inspired by the unique beauty, he started this creative production company along with his team, working closely on advertising & editorial services for the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, EDMA Productions is proud to work with some of the world’s leading names in the fashion and commercial space.
Nowadays, Eduard works between London, Dublin, and Bucharest.
